Stab’s Prime Steak And Seafood Restaurant
The design of Stab’s Prime Steak and Seafood Restaurant on Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana transformed a 2,750 sq. ft. former bank branch into a 6,850 sq. ft. fine dining establishment. The owner chose this facility because of its proximity to residential neighborhoods and the desire to maintain the architectural character and prominent elements such as the cupola, exterior columns and slate roof.
The restaurant features a custom cypress wood bar, piano lounge, table and booth seating, private dining area, private dining within a kitchen setting, wine room, full service kitchen, cooler and freezer, and an outdoor patio with a combination fire and water feature element. The existing porches were infilled to add square footage which seats 140 patrons indoors with an additional 24 seats on the patio. The interior design elements include the custom designed cypress bar, wine room racks and other millwork, old pine beams and beaded board ceiling over the bar and wine room, and a combination of brick, wood and carpet flooring. Exterior elements include custom designed wood shutters, antique brick, slate and copper roofing.
The facility was completed in August 2017 after 14 months of renovations and construction.
