Blu on the Boulevard
Blu on the Boulevard (formerly The Park on Bluebonnet) is a 22-year-old apartment complex featuring 350 living spaces and a clubhouse in Baton Rouge, LA. The owner engaged Cockfield Jackson Architects to renovate the outdated complex. The redesign comprised the replacement of all exterior skins and roofing. The project required removing all deteriorated stucco and brick veneer, weather barrier, sheathing board, and insulation down to the studs. This was replaced new weather barrier, sheathing board, insulation, and fiber cement siding products in varying, complementary configurations. Roofing shingles and underlayment was also replaced across the entire complex. Rotten framing in walls, roofs, and balconies was replaced as needed.
The owner renovated the interior living spaces to complement the fresh exterior look. New landscaping and improved site drainage also contribute to the overall enhancements of the complex. The complex was then rebranded with a new logo and name, Blu on the Boulevard, to attract new residents and increase occupancy rates.
