LSU Child Care Center

This daycare center on the campus of Louisiana State University, includes a central gathering foyer, fifteen classrooms for pre-school age children, a full service kitchen and cafeteria, administrative offices, support spaces, separate playground areas for different age groups, and a covered drop-off. The exterior materials, featuring St. Joe brick, clay roof tile, copper roofing, stucco, and arched porches, comply with Italian Renaissance style mandated by LSU Architecture Design Standards. This project was designed in conjunction with Cynthia M. Stewart, AIA (American Institute of Architects), of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
